I have been searching information by visiting several blogs and articles online. But this page has turned out to be the ultimate destination of my desired knowledge. This has no doubt really fulfilled my contention and for that I am thankful to the blogs owner! Regards.

One last thought.

Have you utilized the social security web site @ www.socialsecurity.gov/foia/?

They will attempt to forward letters to your loved one on your behalf under the freedom of information act.

I found your web page while helping my brother-in-law search for his birth parents.

I'm sure you would have thought of this but did you look at the only two Robert C. Block's  within his age range and outside of california?

Robert Block

or

Robert C Block

Also, who is listed as next-of-kin in Harold's obituary?  Or who paid for Harold's funeral arrangements?  did he have an obituary posted?

Good Luck

As a birth Mom who is searching for a son, I am happy that you have found your family. I hope you are able to follow up with more info. I am guessing that your had some pretty good info to start your search.  It is soooooo difficult with records being sealed.  I pray that my son had a happy, healthy life.

I agree with the other post, this is a very, very well put together site. It's my second time here, and there were more pictures this time. I have to tell you Amy, the picture of you with the fur hood, where you say  it is you, I actually thought it was your mother. I was thinking "wow, that's a very modern look for her mother" and then I read the words that it was you ! Wow, you really resemble her. Your daughter is a beautiful girl. From all the pictures, seems like it's in the genes :0)
I sincerely hope that you find more information and grow older with a lot of peace in your heart.,
Ellen

Hi Amy,
You wrote to me recently from Genforum about the Meyer name.
My Meyer link goes WAY back in Germany.
I only have one name, Sena Meyer. I will look in my records to see who she was married to and will get back with you.
Good luck!
